FIRE SEED
Fire Seed stages an archaeology of a future that has not yet happened, treating history as a substance manufactured in the present and buried for later excavation. Drawing on the logic of the simulacrum, it proposes that the artefact — the supposed guarantor of authenticity — may itself be a fabrication, seeded deliberately to mislead. The work interrogates the epistemology of evidence in an era when the record is infinitely editable: if a civilisation can plant its own relics, the boundary between the genuine and the counterfeit does not blur, it dissolves, and "truth" becomes merely a function of who controls the narrative of the past. What remains is an unsettling proposition — that memory, once datafied, can be authored before it is remembered, and trusted long after it has been forged.
